The Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am has confirmed that he's acting as the executive producer on Britney Spears' new album.
The rapper tells Rolling Stone that Britney's team asked him to be involved a few months ago, and he agreed. He says while he's "not producing and writing every song," he's helping Britney to put together an album that reflects who she is a person, rather than an artist. And it looks like will.i.am is determined to show fans something more than just a dance track. He says he told her team that before they even get in the studio, he needs to sit down with the star and "have lunch four times a month, for three months" so that he can get to know her on a deeper level.
The two have previously collaborated on "Big Fat Bass" from her 2011 Femme Fatale album and the hit "Scream & Shout."
