The latest Superman reboot flys into theaters this weekend with Henry Cavill and Amy Adams taking on the iconic roles of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. This blockbuster is set to take over the box office this weekend but may face some challange from the buddy comedy, "This Is The End", co-directed, written, and starring Seth Rogen. Hap Erstein with PalmBeachArtsPaper.com reviews this weeks films.
"Man Of Steel" - Zack Synder, the director who brought you "300" and "Watchmen", takes on the worlds most beloved superhero in this reboot. Even with the star studded cast including Russel Crowe, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon and Henry Cavill, it's Hap's "first flop" of the Summer.
"This Is The End" - This raunchy comedy brings light to the end of the world. Seth Rogen and friends including James Franco and Jonah Hill as well as cameos from stars like Emma Watson, bring the laughs in the buddy comedy. The movie may become a favorite among fans but Hap was not a fan.
Hap's Art House Pick:
"Before Midnight" - This is the third installment in Richard Linklater's romantic epic. The movie, as do the earlier two, stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy as a married couple who get to spend a romantic day vacationing in Greece.
