A bizarre incident involving a Tri-Rail train last night in West Palm Beach.
Fire Rescue says a 32-year old man was rushed to St. Mary's in what's being called "extremely critical condition", after he was struck by a moving train in the downtown area.
The man had reportedly taken a seat on a southbound Tri-Rail train, but as the train began to pull out of the Tamarind Ave. station, the man reportedly realized that he left his cell phone on a bench. He pulled the emergency cord and as the doors opened, he jumped out and was struck by the moving train.
Close to 50 passengers were on board at the time of the accident, which happened at 8 p.m. Monday night. Tri-Rail sent another train to pick them up.
