Professional: Afternoon guy for 103.7 WQOL; South Florida radio veteran since 1986. I did take a 5 year hiatus, but came running back when I woke up one morning in 1997 to 30 inches of new-fallen snow !!
Personal: Married to my best friend Stacie for almost 7 years, 3 cool kids - Tyler (age 14), Zak (age 6) and my 'princess', Alexa (almost 2)
Hobbies: Working out and trying to keep that boyish figure. It gets harder with each passing year, however. Photography, playing kids games with the boys, holding hands with my wife, martial arts.
Favorite Music Artists: Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Elton John, Billy Joel
Favorite Sports Teams: Being from New England I am a devoted Patriots and Red Sox fan (2004 was a VERY good year). In 2007, we ALMOST got it completely right and did it again. I have grown to like the Dolphins and the Marlins since living in South Florida, too.
Favorite TV Shows: I have to admit it....I am a reality show junkie. Survivor, American Idol and the Apprentice will keep my attention. I also like Professional Wrestling and Desperate Housewives. Eclectic, you say???!!!
Favorite Getaways: New England. Returning to your "roots" is always cleansing and keeps you grounded. I also like the west coast of Florida (my wife's family is over there - yes, I actually like my Mother-in-Law...) and my living room. I escape to these places often.
Professional Influences: When growing up, I used to listen to a hometown radio station with an afternoon guy whose name was (and still is) "Duncan Dewar". I thought he sounded so cool and I wanted to do what he was doing for a living. I am touch with Duncan to this day.
Philosophy: Character is doing the right thing even when nobody is looking.
WHEN I'M NOT ON THE RADIO: I love to hang out with my family. When I'm not doing that, you can find me playing music for and hosting all kinds of social gatherings: weddings, anniversaries, company parties, school dances, reunions, fundraisers, carnivals, etc.
I am a professional Mobile Disc Jockey celebrating my 30th year in the business !! (I obviously started out as a child.....) I specialize in weddings and corporate events, but also love the occassional adult birthday party, anniversary or backyard cookout.
